Happy 4th July to all those who celebrate.
No 4th of July here in Phils.
Am at work. Started day with a session at the gym (after waking up too early)....
Went to work, went to see my allergy /asthma dr. I've been waking up at night wheezing and having daily sneezing fits such that you'd think I want what brains I have to come shooting out my nose, plus a few episodes of exercise induced asthma, so thought I'd check in with her.
She of course knows I am P. So went through the scenario. 30% of women with asthma/allergies improve, 30% no change, and 30% get worse. Looks like I may be in that last 30%. Though hopefully not and this is just an isolated episode....
Drugs are limited. Only choices are ventolin (and should not be every day), plus certain inhaled steroids. For now we are trying a nasal antihistamine plus an oral antihistamine for 1 week to see if controlling the allergies will help with the asthma. Then we discuss.... I'm to call her in one week. She'll contact my ob-gyne and tell her the plan.
Tummy pain ongoing and annoying! This is already nearly 2 1/2 months! Gallbladder?, Appendix?, Gas?, IBS?, hypochondria, imagination?, Nothing to worry about?, Something to worry about?. If it were my imagination surely wouldn't be there all the time, and wouldn't get worse with stabbing pain when I sneeze or cough or do things that compress my tummy.... BUT how come I can still run? Obviously it can't be THAT bad. This is worrying and bothersome. I don't know what to think.
Am in office now and will head for meeting in a while. Must get back to work! Feeling the blahs!
