I stopped all PTU Yesterday (Saturday) as woke with ulcerated mouth and tongue. The same side effects I had with Carbimazole.
I could never 'prove' that it was the ATDS until now as my Labs tell me I am NOT hyper and always thought the ulcers were from T3 toxycosis.
Maybe it was a bit of both earlier on in my journey but I am sure as hell I am not going back on them to go through the misery of not being able to eat or drink properly without tears streaming down my face from pain.
SO PTU HAS BEEN STOPPED.
Now time for me to recognise the symptoms and watch I dont crash to Hypo.
Feels strange sitting on the 'other side of the fence' but after the way I have felt for over a year, this is a breeze.
Fibrillation would have to be one of the most scariest feelings I have gone through so will still keep a check on the heart rate and if needed take the Inderal.
