I have been treated for major depression for many years now. Osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia along with ankylosing spondylitis have been added over the past 10 years. I just seem to be getting worse. I have had bouts of weakness, and blurred vision off and on for several years, but lately it is all the time. I couldn't work as a nurse any more because of all this, and was declared disabled in 1999. My family doctor ordered an MRI of my brain a few weeks ago, and the report says I have moderate chronic white matter changes that could be consistent with primary demyelinating disease or with multiple sclerosis. Some of the areas are somewhat globular. My doctor scheduled an appointment with a neurologist, but I can't get in to see him until next month. In the meantime I am very worried and very depressed about my health.
