I am not a candidate for surgery and yet I have a lot of pain, discomfort and weakness. I have tried almost everything and so far nothing seems to work. My last MRI was done in april of this year and since then pain and discomfort increased not to mention new symptoms showing up. I excercise for about 30 + minutes or more dailly and take pain pills as needed, and even walk about 3-4 miles and more a day and try to do extra stretching as much as possible. I can't sit still or lay still for very long cause of discomfort so I can't say I am not getting any exercise. I will see the physiatrits and the pain specialist see what they have to see and offer. This 2nd doctor (Neurosurgeon) says I will just have to live with the pain because the bulging and spurs are not severe enough to do surgery.

This pain has gone on for about 4 months or so now and getting frustrating.

If you are going to a Pain Management Clinic do your home work.  It might not all be in your head.  Check to see if your MD is also an anethesiolgist and did not just transfer into this field with a few courses, get a real mspecialists.
