Have you asked your doctor about the Lidoderm Patches??? They are great: they work topically (but are Rx prescription); were invented for shingles pain (which is the same kind of thing). You can cut the patches to fit your face. Leave them on for 12 hrs- works pretty fast (right away to a week). After 12 hrs you give your face a 12 hr break, then put another one on; and so on.No side effects because its topical. Very good! Only warning is disposal- you must throw them out safely. So kids and pets cant get into them. They are a miracle (but you will look a bit funny wearing them; they come in white).
