The nurse called today.  It seems my x-ray shows arthritis in my lower back and "bone disease".  I'm still not sure what she meant by that even though I asked her to repeat it twice.  The doc thinks I have a disc pinching a nerve that goes to my bladder and that's why I have the pain in my lower abdomen and back.  That would also explain my recent bladder issues.  Next step, MRI as soon as insurance approves it.  I don't even want to think about the what if's of back surgery.  I wonder if this confirms R.A. because of the degeneration??  It seems everytime I think I know what's going on something new happens and i'm back at START.  A damn game that never ends.  I wish I could go to sleep and wake up in 20 years when they have more answers.  I guess we are the guinney pig generation for autoimmune.

AMEN sister.  I hate this constant cycle that they have us on.  When will it be over!!!  I hope your MRI is negative for RA.  Maybe just a little bit of tweaking at the chiro will help Huh?  I am sorry you are going though this right now,  Just a little note.  My girlfriend up here slipped a disk and they were able to help her without surgery.....But you know surgeons,,,,,,,when in doubt, cut it out!  I will be in prayer for you.  Let us all know how it works out.

Love Ya!

Hi, I just want to tell you that I have all kinds of degeneration in my spine too.  I have two herniated discs in my neck and my lower back is messed up also and my hips.  When I went to physical therapy, the girl told me that EVERYONE as they age, has some degeneration in their spine.  You can start to get it by age 15.  So don't get too scared when they say arthritis or things like *degeneration* or *bone disease.*  It's just words.

I have fibro also and terrible IBS.  I know the feeling.  Good luck.
