When it rains, it pours...

I'm feeling so down right now.  It's bad enough having to deal with this thyroid garbage, but now my dad has just had a heart attack and is in ICU.  I don't have much family left, just him and my brother, and I'm just finding it hard to cope right now.  Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Proverbs 3:5-6. It is hard to Feel it, but just saying it has power.

Thank you everyone!  My dad was discharged from the hospital yesterday and seems to be doing pretty well, although very tired and on lots of drugs.  I, myself, just found out I have to have surgery on my thyroid instead of RAI.  Oh well, I guess it could be worse.  Just trying to hang in there.  If my dad can, so can I, right!

Hi.  You don't know me but, I hope and pray everything works out for you and your dad.  Any time everything start's to pour down and my shoulders or my heart gets heavy I try to remember that little girl with the curly hair singing "The sun will come out tomorrow".  Hang in there and Take care.

just saw your journal in the hr forum and send a prayer for your dad that he may be well and a prayer that you  are well also it is difficult to see a loved one in pain and unwell i hope things resolve and u both feel better soon

I am glad your dad is doing better.  I know you will be fine through surgery.  I know that you will get through this with the  help of the Lord, family, and friends.  take care and try to remember your not alone in life you have alot of people who care and they are praying for you and your family

Well, I had to drive my dad back to the hospital on Sunday.  He has fluid around the sac that surrounds the heart and a large nodule is showing up on the ct scan, possibly a blood clot.  I'll know more today, I suppose.  Just feeling really down and out.  I wish my best friend was here (she moved to Illinois last fall).  I could really use her support right now.  Oh well, I'll just keeping praying for my dad and hope things get better all around.  Thanks for your thoughts and prayers everyone; I really appreciate them.
