I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel 15 years ago and was told there was nothing they could do,so I learned to live with it.4 years after that i developed high blood pressure started getting it under control.During all of this I was having bouts of proffuse sweating, passing out, vomiting and not being able to walk when this would happen.About 3 years later carpal tunnel symptoms getting worse just kept thinking there was nothing they could do.The next 7 years everything just got worse.Bouts of passing out I realized was only around horses had every test possible all negative.Carpal tunnel became bilateral and started wearing braces for 2 years(the only way I could sleep). Finally told my gp that I couldn't deal with the carpal tunnel which I geuss I had never tod him about. He tested fot thyroid and put me on synthroid no results so I decided to stop taking it and foound an ortho on my own .Skip ahead 10 months finally had surgery on right hand(officially dx with carpal tunnel of right hand and cubital tunnel of both elbows oh and peripheral neuropathy). days later developed trigger thumb on right handthen 3 weeks later trigger thumb in left hand too ,had a hard time healing from surgery started gaining weight.Did physical therapy and 5 days later had surgery for trigger thumb on right hand. It was healing bad as well so I decided to ditch my ortho cause we weren't hitting it off.I went to my gp to get the stitches out and he took 1 look at me and said no more surgeries.Started running blood tests thyroid messed up worse and blood pressure out of control.started synthroid again took it every day but didn't regular blood work.everything started going downhill fatigue, more weight gain despite doing construction work, all joints in body hurting etc. More bloodwork dx with hashimoto's thyroiditis hypothyroidism herpertension high cholesterol trig 548. Doubled synthroid cholesterol down to 240 in less than 2 months.Neurologic symptoms improving too I now wonder if I needed those surgeries. This is a slow process but I hope my doc and I can get this under control.Getting my kids tested next week I want to get them help if needed so they don't have to go through what I and my family has gone through. This disease rears its ugly head in different ways to different people and Fibro is also a symptom.
