Since there is no entry for the patches, I modified it based on a conversion table I found.  I was shocked to find out that the 100mcg fentanyl patch is equivalent to over 200mg of oxycodone per day!!  HOLYCOW!  I wish I was smarter BEFORE I let the doctors put me on that ****.

Footnote:  Fentanyl is a powerful opioid analgesic with a potency approximately 81 times that of morphine.

My daughter in law ate one of these, it killed her. Be very careful.

why would a doctor give anyone Fentanyl 81 times strength of morphine  I know nothing  about Fentanyl but  is that really something that should be perscibed to people  i mean I don't get it .

To: Krashing,

Some of us really need the strong pain relief. Without it I would not function as a person. I could not enjoy the simple things in life such as even an evening walk. The Patch makes that possible for me. Yes, it is strong but then you have to be a responsible person to use it. I do not feel high or euphoric, I just feel like a woman who can enjoy the things that life has to offer.

Mollyrae I so wish I could take it. Take anything that would stop this horrible pain. I have so much trouble with narcotics. My body does not accept them very well. I seem to be stuck with Vicodin. I am glad it works for you. And it works for my 75 year old mother. She is a new woman with it. She is on 25mg.

Sorry Extrmeski, I didn't mean to leave you out. I am very happy that the patch is working for you too. So many ppl claim such great pain relief with this patch. I am so happy for you all.

Hey Tuck, Maybe in the future you could start at a very low dose. It comes in a 12.5 mcg Patch. It may be worth a try. The side effects are no fun at first, I had an upset stomach and mild sweats for the first month and the Doc said they would go away and they did. Now I am glad I stuck with it. I don't have to wake up in the morning in pain because it works all night. Well, time for me to retire. My poor hands cannot type anymore and Grey's Anatomy is on........

I did start with the 12.5. It was when I went up to 25 that I had the allergy problems. My body is so strange. I still have them. I would like to try them again. Enjoy your show.....

Be careful with Fentanyl....I am on the 75mcs plus about 8 norco 10/325 per day......If you puncture or tear a Fentanyl Patch it can very well kill you

Again it just depends on which manufacturer of the patch you have.  The gell filled ones are very dangerous, the Mylan ones are just coated and are less dangerous.  In any case I detoxed off of them and will never use them again.  W/D's on the patch are just freaking horrible.  Be prepared to feel like he11 for months and months up to a year..!!!
