I have a son 8 yrs. old who is having issues with stomach pain. It doesn't make him cry out but is just there all the time. He's been complaining for a week now. And the doctor isn't ruling out appendix. But isn't saying it is either. He complains the pain is behind and... [More] below his belly button. And sometimes his entire tummy area hurts. And sometimes the middle of his chest aches with the stomach pain.
Just today he's complaining after eating of chest pain that is in the middle of his chest and runs down below his belly button in a straight line. And was moaning after breakfast. But not after lunch. But said the pain was back in his chest area after eating. The doctor has taken blood work as of yesterday along with a urine specimen and x-rays. We basically won't know anything until Wednesday which is tomorrow. But this is driving me NUTS! We're to leave for vacation Saturday. Where we're to be doing trails and such. So it will be exsertive excercise. And running and jumping bothers him and causes the pain to get worse.
He is in no way curled up crying in severe pain. But an uncomfortable pain that just never lets up. I feel helpless...The doctor has me giving him milk of magnesia 1 tsp. twice a day...Which isn't helping in the least. SIGH...
Any ideas...For the doctor mentioned a Cat Scan if the tests show nothing when the results are back. Anything I can throw out to her to maybe check?
