My granddaughter Emma will be 3 on the 28th, so my youngest son,(her dad) decided to get her a gerbil for her birthday...called tonight, sd he spent $140 getting the gerbil and all necessary accessories, cage, bedding, food... etc.. the whole time I am laughing know that she is either gonna squeeze the poor gerbil named Diego to death, or step on it and he will have to continue to replace him. I reminded him of our experience with gerbil, hamster...etc and he sd it would be different... The whole time I am laughing, because they are stuck in traffic, the gerbil is in a cardboard box and he ask can it chew it way out of the box, of course I reply laughing...didn't hear from him once home, with him being an hour ahead of me, but sure they had a very exciting evening... so now not only do I have grandpuppies (Tigger, Toby and Sadler) I have a grandgerbil?
