July 23 Sad Day

I'm not doing that great today. I have quite a bit of pain, didn't sleep well last night. I have that horrible ear/jaw pain too, and my knees hurt, as usual.
The worst is that we had to rush Tommy (my beautiful white Himalayan cat) to the vet hospital this morning. He was sick yesterday and didn't eat much so we waited to see if he would be better today. But he looked terrible, so we took him over there. Of course, they are keeping him overnight at least. It's probably the kidney disease, which is bad. I'm so upset about this. He hates it there and starts to shake as soon as we put him in the car! I'm almost afraid to find out what the vet says, not to mention this will be about $600 for all the tests, the IV, and the overnight stay and x-rays. Hubby says that over the past year we have spent about $3,000 on Tommy. I don't care, though, because I love him. He comforts me when I feel like ****, which is all the time anyway.
It's thundering out and it's about to pour rain. Very depressing day all around. I should get some laundry and things done around the house, but I have no motivation. Maybe I'll do it later. I think I'm going to watch some tv.

im sorry to read u are not feeling the best and also your cat is unwell .pets are great company and really know how to love and make a person fell good i hope tommy will be ok.i have a 10 month dog and she was run over by a quad bike by a farmer down the road from me last broke her pelvis and now we may have to get her neutered it 's terrible to see them in pain.
i hope u feel a little better soon

I know what its like took my cat to the vet 2 days ago,she got skin cancer on her nose and they apart from that shes in perfect condition,but they have given 3-6 months to live.Everybody that loves their pets have to go through this sooner or later i guess i sholdnt complain she is 15 and half and never been sick.But we always want more time and thats human nature.They arent just any pet cos they;re OURS.Hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry about Tommy......only who have pets know how sad it is to watch them suffer. I don't remember how often I had to put off my own medicine to sent my pets to vet because he/she was sick. My kitty, SassieMia had 3 surgeries within the 1 yr of her young life...we call her a 'million dollar baby'. My siblings never understood how I could have pets in the house and hoping to get well. They don't understaond, pets are our babies no matter how old and how much, we love them and iwll anything for them to be well.
I'm keeping Tommy (by the way, he is handsome) in my prayers. Try and rest up, remember if you get worse, you can not take as good care of him as when you feel better.
