For a long time, I've been having severe abdominal cramps, strong enough to make me double over.  When I try taking painkillers for it, it's like taking water, because they just don't work.  I've narrowed it down to two things it could be.  It's either really bad constipation (again, because I have really bad IBS) or it could be poly-cystic ovaries, which my sisters and mum think I have.  The only thing is, the ultrasound scan I had done to check for PCOS, was inconclusive.  And I can't go through with an internal exam, because of issues I have (relating to past experiences of sexual abuse).  Right now, the pain is so strong, I do what women in labor are doing when they get contractions (breathing deeply in through my nose and exhale heavily out of my mouth).  I'm close to tears even, with the cramps being so strong.  There's a chance it could be both these things.  But I know there's definitely something affecting my bowel, because I've been going back and forwards to the bathroom about 3 times in the last hour.  It doesn't help that my hypersensitivity seems to be making the cramps feel ten times worse than period pain (and it's also the reason why painkillers in tablet and medicine form don't work).  I don't know what to do.  If I take the painkillers that were prescribed to me, not only will they not work, they could constipate me even more.  But it doesn't matter anyway.  The only painkiller that could take away this pain is the injected kind.  Which isn't an option for me, unfortunately.  Guess I'll just have to suffer.  =o(
