I have issues urinating and have been to two urologists who have both done urethral dilations. They initially said I had scarring of the urethra. Supposedly, this scarring was an obstruction that was causing my discomfort and resulting in the constant feeling that I needed to urinate. One of the Urologists performed a surgery in which I was put under anesthesia and my urethra was scoped. The Urologist stated that I had scar tissue as well as polyps lining the walls of my urethra. He stated he removed all of the blockage, but after a year, I still have the same problems and supposedly dilation is the only answer??? I have read that dilation is not as well revered as it once was and that it could possibly be increasing the scar tissue resulting in continued problems. My main question is, "Is there any help or cure, or is this something I will have to battle the remainder of my life." I am only 30 years old and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
