Have not wrote in a few days

Have not wrote in a few days..had alot going on..Had my lumbar puncture procedure done yesterday and wasnt good news at all.  The neurologist says I have intercranial pressure in the brain, too much pressure as too much fluid..the pressure has caused a right optical nerve swelling which is whey the double vision and blurriness and the dizzyspells are the pressure apparently.  The five tubes of fluid out to remove some of the pressure and to send the fluid away for test.  Not a nice test to have to have done having a needled that huge put right into your spine..I squeeled...lol
If they cannot get the pressure to stay down they might have to put a shunt in and the optic nerve damage may be permanent..have to wait for the eye surgeon to find out..great...just what I needed to hear..
Doc recommends to stay at my taper where I am at the moment to let the pain from the procedure setttle as I am in alot of pain from it...then after it settled cut again and do the wd's all over.  Right now the wd's have all gone..guess my body has adjust to the 40mg a day finally.  At least we know something finally and work can start paying since they havent paid in seven months any sick time saying there was no diagnosis..well now they got one thats for sure...check back later..
Had to see doc and have to follow his script of two every four hours till the post procedure pain settles..will only be a day or two he advised...

I'm so sorry the procedure was awful and definitely sorry for the results, but you have a diagnosis and that is a start and I hope they start paying you right away.. Take today and the next few to pamper yourself you deserve it... You are doing so great on your taper I'm glad your not in wd at the dose you are on now.. Listen to the Dr. and stay there to give your body a chance to deal with the pain... You should be very proud of yourself for being so open with your Dr. on your taper :)) I know being honest with my Dr. gives me a little peace.. I'm praying for you that it is something that is fixable without permanent nerve damage to your eye.. Be kind to yourself.. lesa

Sounds tough - not the news you were hoping for I am sure.  Do you know the serenity prayer - used in the na / aa meetings

grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

hopes this helps.
Hang in there
