I'm home after 10 days. I've finally realised that this was major abdominal surgery, with complications, and it is going to take a while to recover.  One is sheltered from the pain and disability while in the hospital.

Spent all day in bed, except for a trip to the shops to buy badly needed supplies.  My helper (she's been wonderful) came and I was able to use a shopping centre wheelchair. No way I can walk more than a short distance.  Celia pushed me and pulled the cart.  Fortunately shes cooking cleaning and waiting on me.  I seriously am not much use at the moment.

Having neuropathic pain on part fo the incision wound and my right leg.. just sent message to OB asking her if I can take high dose b vits to see if it helps the pain.  Paracetamol, which is all I'm allowed for pain relief, doesn't touch it.

So I'm home and safe and on the long slow road to recovery.  Am so glad I can't feel peanut yet.  Imagine all this pain and being kicked as well! :)

Oh, blood sugar is down again, no doubt helped by my not being able to eat much.... but that's a relief for now.
