First day after summer break!

I am exhausted and in pain this evening. I am even more stressed about not getting things done in time before school starts and surgery on Aug.11. My self talk I planned for keeping me destressed today went right out the window. Thank God for supportive coworkers and administration! Our fourth grade team (8 teachers) did have a very tasty lunch out together today. This gave us a chance to socialize. This was the best part of the day and no school cafeteria food!!!! My laptop is still in the shop with all my back to school stuff on it. I checked on it today, part hasn't come in yet. He offered to take out the hard drive and burn what I needed to a disk, but I think that's too much trouble. Oh well, maybe I needed to refresh my welcome letter, etc anyway! I'm going to bed now and probably not sleep but at least stretch out. I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful weekend.

You have to be "chary" with the strength you do have, as we need the children to have people like you! Let the chores and worries go for this weekend and rest your body and spirit... let the tech make you a disk (it's very little trouble for them) and then, certainly refresh your welcome letter and other materials if you want...
You are a very smart Lady, and have to keep up the self-talks and ask for help from others if you need it. Send the special ed teacher you are working with down the hall to make copies of her things and yours. Be "stingy" with every step, each day... so you can do the work that's uniquely yours... that no one else can do!!
Rest well and sleep soundly my friend, you are very inspirational and were given this gift for a reason. You protect the children by taking care of your own needs right now, you do know that, right?? ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) Susie
