Hi I am 16 years old and from San Jose, California. About 2 months ago, i started to get agonizing itch on my testes and penis. I assumed it was just jock itch because i play basketball. I would use the powder spray and it would sting horribly but i still use it. Now, 2 months later, the shaft of the penis is a red color along with the gland. When i wake up in the morning the rash-like area is white and flakey. Another thing i am worried about is that i recently had a staph infections on my foot but i treated it and i think it is gone. Most importantly, with this penis irritation I find it impossible to masturbate because after i'm done the redness and irritation gets much worse. Any Help??

Hey, I've had this problem to. Where I would switch soaps or something and it would get very irritated. I would say just leave it alone. I didn't need any cream or anything. It took a few days, maybe a week. It was very annoying, but it got much better after I just left it alone. I hope this helps!

Also if the problem doesn't resolve itself, please report it to a doctor.

Have you checked to make sure that you didn't pick up a case of Crabs? You don't always get them from having sex with an infected partner but can get them from toilet seats, sheets, couches where affected people have been.

The spray you used would not kill them and your constant scratching has probably caused irritation of the skin which is why the spray would sting.  The spray for Jock Itch is an antifungal and usually should give immediate relief from itching.
But, since you have already inflamed the skin, you should let it calm down enough BEFORE treating for Crabs.  You can make sure whether it is Crabs or not by taking a magnifying glass and upon close inspection of the areas, you should see tiny, almost transparent, spider-like creatures walking between the base of your pubic hair or clinging to individual hairs. If you see this, you will need to purchase the proper medication to kill them.

I hope this helps put an end to your problem.  Stay safe.  GeoGirl102

I don't think it is crabs because the irritation is more on the upper part of the penis around the gland

You should seek medical attention for this. It could be something as simple as a fungal infection or possibly a chemical imbalance (the flaking of the skin and redness would be a concern). Best of luck to you!
