I cannot say how long I have had this lump. But I do know since I was 26 years old, I experienced tenderness in my left upper thigh at least once a year. I am now 46 and completely forgot about it until recently. I was moisturizing my skin and noticed a lump in my upper inner thigh area that is soft to the touch but never moves from its spot. About a month ago, I developed tenderness in my left thigh and had no idea why. I spoke with my mother about the lump thing a few weeks before and while I was experiencing this tenderness she asked me to check my thigh. I did. when I touched the place where the lump resides, I noticed it was twice in size of a quarter and very tender to the touch. I also felt the need to shake my leg because it felt as if I had sat down the wrong way and cut off my circulation. My mothers suggestion was to apply hot towels to it.  What is it and what should I do to get rid of it? I had 2 surgeries on my left ankle 2001, 2002 (broken ankle in three places), I was placed on steroids for 6 weeks 3 times a day and now I am very over weight 223lb and losing slowly from 231 finally.I am not very active as I was before the accident. I also feel rarely a deep pain in my right thigh that makes me press very hard on it to relieve the pain. Can that pain be from my surgery as well?  Need Help
