Got " Duped" about Tramadol

I was always adamant to all of my Dr.s about refusing opiates or any addictive kind of pain meds and just like thousands of other people have come to find out this so called innocent drug, Tramadol is just as hard to get off of as any opiate.
I am so PISSED!...it's the damn big Pharma behind all this, even the doctors were duped I guess.
Michael Moore needs to make another movie!
Anyway, I am a 61 yo female.
Been on Tramadol for 10 plus years for chronic back and neck pain from bulging neck discs, failed back surgery, spurs on my spine, Fibromyalgia and Ulcerative Colitis. I test high antibodies for Lupus but have heard Tramadol can cause that to happen too!
Tramadol did do a fine job of getting me off the couch each day and functioning.
Every morning I wake up stiff, sore, can't stand up straight. Hobble to the kitchen struggeling to get coffee, and I would then take two 50 mg Tramadols, and go lay down on the couch and in about an hour or so I could start to move around better but typically I need 4 hrs to come out of this daily morning syndrome to get moving well. I took 50 mgs in 6 hrs( mid-day) and another 50 mgs in the evening.
I never craved more or felt like that dosage wasn't enough. If I needed a bit of a boost for pain I would take Tylenol here and there.
So... after learning recently that a medication called LDN may actually cure some of my diseases I decided I would give it a try.... BUT....you can not take Opiates or Tramadol with LDN. It was through the yahoo lowdosenaltrexone  forum that I also  learned the truth about Tramadol and what I was about to have to endure to get off of it.
And so this is what has led me to this board now.
I've been doing a lot of searching for information about tapering off and am so amazed at how often I see my same story of not being informed correctly about this drug.
This is not what we signed up for . I'm sure there will be class action suits.
I just want off at this point and will take what ever time it takes to get there and what ever help from this forum I can get.

Wow ,
I am sorry you were not  informed . I however new because my doctor told me . However I will say I have run across other doctors that still seem to be in the dark .

I have done a little research on LDN .right now they are not using it for my chronic pain problem but I am hoping
that they may find it works for other things.

Where are you on your taper .when do you plan on going on the LDN?

I am here if you ever want to chat.
