I have had anaphylactic reactions to Penicillin, Azithromycin, Ace Inhibitors, clams and oysters, and wasp, bee and ant stings. I have had hives, rashes, itching, laryngospasms, coughing, a tightening of my chest, asthma like symptoms, and difficulty breathing during these reactions, and have had to be put on Steroid packs in all of these cases. I carry an adult Epipen syringe with me at all times.
I also have chemical, seasonal allergies, mold, smoke and pet allergies to name a few of them. I have had 7 years of allergy shots which did really help me in the long run.
I also have food intolerances including lactose intolerance, and foods such as corn, beans and greens of any kind aggravate my irritable bowel pretty bad as do milk and cottage cheese. I can eat yogurt, and Rice Dream and powdered non-dairy creamer are my milk substitutes.
Wool made me itch a lot as a child, and I mainly wear clothing made of cotton or cotton polyester mix fabrics, as a result.
