Happy New Year!

Twenty years ago, I would have loved to have at least work, if not gone out for fun - with or without the family (actually, not one child was quite born, so I guess sans children), but tonight, the Eve of 2008?  My younger kids are with my dad and oldest sister and friends at his home celebrating quietly (well, there are about sixteen kids there, not sure how quiet it is), my oldest worked and will stay around there to avoid bad drivers (she's nearly 20).  My husband, a soldier in active duty, is playing, but nowhere near me (yes, I'm sad, but happy for him).  Me?  I get to lay here and pretend I feel great, I have the remote control and I actually get to control it and I have no time I have to be up.

So, happy new year, I know it is for me!
