Pain

Early Saturday morning (about 6am) I wake up needing to pee really bad. But after i went that familiar, sickening pain came back and brought my mood down to a right low. Ever had that pain? Pain that isnt really intense but its there and constant. The type of pain that you cannot distract yourself from, no matter how hard you try.
I remember it all starting in November last year and soon after the november uti, another followed. Then in December...not long before Christmas when everyone was preparing for a good time, I had to take antibiotics and keep off the wine. Which was a waste of space...the UTI hadnt fully gone away and so it soon came back...So since the new year i have been constantly battling with my bladder and urethra; trying to keep them happy by drinking loads of water--and only water, showering every morning, using Femfresh instead of soap to keep the irritation away, wiping myself correctly (tho i did that anyway). Then making sure i washed after intercourse, taking long breaks from intercourse so i can let myself heal after a UTI.

And now it seems ive ran out of ideas to help keep these problems at bay. Ive had tests done...the doctors all agree that ive had more UTIs than i should get. And yet they dont seem to give me any advice to help apart from what im already doing. I know theres only so much they can do, but its so frustrating!

The way i see it, only a urologist will be able to help me, but the last doctor i saw mentioned taking antibiotics over a period of about two months, to see if it breaks the pattern on the UTIs that on average come a little over a month everytime. Maybe that will help, but i cant see how it would; bacteria can still find a way into your bladder and cause madness and mayhem in there.

My heart truly goes out to everyone else out there with UTI problems, IC, US etc. Its a pain that 'knocks you for six' everytime and makes you feel so so sad because at first it feels like youll never get any relief at all and youll be like that forever. To some who have never had UTIs, it may seem trivial...and UTIs arnt really that serious until they reach your kidneys. But the thought of your bladder cells being destroyed by E.Coli bacteria just makes you (or at least me anyways) cringe. Like i said at the beginning; the pain isnt intense, but it does not feel healthy in anyway. Not in the way, im sure, labor pain feels...ive mentioned it before...and even though i havent gone through labor im pretty sure i would rather go through with a long long one (like my mums which was 72 hours) than ever get a UTI ever again. As, like ive also mentioned before, labour and birth leads to something good...a beautiful beautiful baby. Im sure all you mums out there agree? All that pain is worth it because you now hold that new, precious life in your arms.

...It can never ever be good like that with a UTI.

I will stop my rambling for now....its made me feel better letting of some steam....if i can ever get a new bladder and urethra that isnt prone to infections for Yule then ill grab it with both hands! Who else agrees?

Blessed be all!
