Pain has been escalating for the past 18 months. Was taking 400mg Motrin pills, now they have little to no effect.

Have seen local urologist twice in last 2 weeks. There is some new pain med from pfiser that they want me to try but don't have it yet!!!! WTF? I have to wait a week or more?

Talked extensively with wife about the prospect of orchiectomy. (Only two types of treatments available to me pain pills or surgery) Wife was against orchiectomy until she understood the levels of pain were coming to be equal to the levels of pain last time ( 3 years ago had right orchiectomy for an insane level of pain)

I have talked about the idea of implants to which she replied that I don't need any. We are and have been a sexless couple for over 5 years now. Since her extensive radical hysterectomy, intercourse has been physically impossible.

So it is down to this, waiting for the new pain meds which will likely make me pretty loopy. Or surgery, which based on the right side I know will work.

Of course expect to go on HRT after.
