Swallowing Pain Blackout

January 6, 2008. Lunchtime after eating a Ham sandwich, corn chips, and a few sips of Vernor's from 12 oz bottle. I was sitting up straight on a piano bench sipped another swallow of Vernor's had time to screw the cap back on felt pain in the swallow/ lack of oxygen/ blacked out. On the coming to didn't remember where I was for a few seconds.  This is the forth time this has happen over the last six years.  Why is it happening?

And believe me I am getting a run around!  From MRI testing, to Carotid Dopplers, to 24 EKG  and will have to under go an EEG Sleep Deprived, and another MRI!   I am a truck driver NOT AN EPILEPSY patient!   I have done some research on my own with the internet and it looks like maybe a GI Specialist is what I may need.  Why doesn't the regular doctor know this?
