Hey ladies just curious to know how soon after your C -section did you get your menstrual cycle? I know it varies, just curious to know when I should carry tampons around in my purse. I guess every day huh?
with my son it was about 2 months after i stopped bfing and that was just before he was 7 months old. with my dd i started like a few months after!! i was cheated!! haha. yes keep something with you. however i knew i was cramping bad like i always do before i started.
Thanks. Of course I am not breastfeeding, but I am still lactating. No longer engorged. That happened in the first week and lasted for about 5-7 days, talk about miserable and a constant reminder that my baby wasn't here. Anyway, I can tell I am still lactating because when I check to see (by pressing on my breast) if I have "dried up" every other night before I take my shower there is still milk there. I don't express it often because I know that is considered stimulation and it will signal my body to produce more milk. I pray it goes away soon. Never thought I would say this, but I am ready to get my cycle back. That's crazy. I prayed not to get my cycle before because of course that lets you know you have been successful getting pregnant. Now I want it back. God is probably up there saying "Make up your mind woman!" (lol). Thank God I don't get cramps though. I guess whenever my body stops producing milk it will return. Looking on the positive side- At least I know I am equipped to breastfeed. In the beginning, I was producing so much it was leaking onto my legs...talk about Got milk?!? (lol). Thanks for responding pertykitty.
it can take awhile for the milk production to stop, i cant remember but i think it can take a month. if you play with your nipples or squeeze them it will continue, tell dh to lay off them! lol god might be saying see you will do it! the hard part of not having a period is if you get pg again right away you might not know for several weeks longer! my fingers are crossed and tied in a bow for you!
Thanks. DH is having problems keeping away from them, especially because they are his favorite part of my body...poor him!!! I have to literally pull way from him and/or smack his hand to remind him not to touch them...he acts like he is drawn to them (lol). I'll lay off on checking them too. Thanks for your advice.
