Enough with the TS

I hope it misses you this time. Johnny, Jim, and some friends went to Cancun 3 yrs ago n Oct. I said no way in hurricane season. Well needless to say Wilma sat on top of Cancun 24 hrs. They were in a shelter from thursday to Monday, and I didn't know if they were even alive. Finally they took a bus thriugh the jungle to Merida and called. I had to get a private jet to get them out. ( 13,500). I could have strangled them by the time they got home on wednesday.
Jim said they had to get out, no food and people were getting sick. The only companies getting their people out were British. Big mess!!!!!

That had to be frightening !!!!! Oh yes, Wilma was a mess. We still lived in  WPB.. They said she would come ashore and cross over the state as a "1". Being native Miamians  and seeing my share of storms, there was no way I thought it could even sustain the "1" after crossing the state. Wrong !! She not only sustained it, but she got stronger which is really unusual. They later corrected their estimate of her strength.. determined it was a "2".. We were in the eye of that thing for 45 minutes. The gal down the street had part of her screened porch blown out during the first half, the second half blew it back into her yard. Funny if not so bad !!

Yes, enough of that!  We have too many friends there who need a break and Florida is Canada's favorite retirement/vacation place.  I think it should become an eleventh province :)  Hope you guys will make it through the storms and see sunshine soon on the other side.
