went to bed, heartbeat light, then stronger, chest felt odd, not painful, just a weird feeling.  Would skip a beat every 50 or 60 beats, but would beat 1 time strong, then 2 weak beats, then strong again.
Lasted and hour or so.

Good Day,
i'm 32 years old, male, a smoker )1 pack a day, and does excercise on a daily basis, no alcohol intake. Dad had a BENTAL PROCEDURE 2 years ago, he normally had high blood pressure.
I  started experiencing palpitations about 3 years ago, which were minor but yet lead to thinking, and i'm a guy that worries a lot.
Lately i have been experinecing daily palpitation for the last couple of months, my heart skips beat, and then there is a strong beat afterwards.
It does occur when relaxing or before sleep, when working out, or busy, i dont feel anything.
No chest pains, or breathlessness, or fatigue is present.
But then agai, when noticing it, it is quite disturbing, the sensation of it, and worrying at the same time...
as if i feel it is a regular heart beat with palpitation...
could you please advis what's going on? coz i', quite worried to be honest...
I mean i know exactly how it feels like...u just feel like it is regular heart bit with an irregular pattern of beating, as if the was just filled with so much blod, and it just choked and pumped them out with force...

I finally went to my doctor, and he go a 48 hour heart monitor put on me through a cardiologist.  Guess what?  They called and told me I wasn't imagining it, that I had over 8000 hits (pvc's, which is skipping beats) in 48 hours.  They sent me to an electrophysiology cardiologist.  They said that you have a pacemaker in your heart, and then thousands of "backup pacemakers" that were firing off at the wrong times.  That's why it was skipping so much.  They did a catheter ablation on my heart, which is they ran an electro wire of some sort through the vein in my groin, into my heart (this doesn't take putting a pacemaker in your heart, because your actual pacemaker is working just fine).   They mapped out where it was "firing off" wrong, and burned the tissue with the wire, so it couldn't go through that part.  I don't understand all of it, but it seems to have worked!!  I stayed in the hospital one night, and went home the next day.  I still have an occasional skip, and I now seem to have a rapid heartbeat occasionally, but the cardiologist seems to think it will eventually get even better.  It just takes a little transition to regain the balance it needs between the rapid and slow heartbeats that are in your heart.  I know it sounds strange, but like I said, it's a whole lot better.  Stay away from caffeine as much as you can, because it does make it worse.  They told me that exercise was good for it.  If it gets too bad, make your doctor check it out.  I know my doctor I had gone to a couple of times with this, but it had gotten so bad, keeping it up for several hours at a time, and then several times a day, that they finally believed me!!!  Good luck!!
