I had my PAT today.  I thought it was going to be just a talk with the anesthesiologist, but it included a mini, clothes-on exam.  So it seems this EP lab prefers general anesthesia, and that's what thy're going to give me.  I mentioned my severe sleep apnea, and they said they'll not completely intubate me, but will place a device at the back of my throat so I can breathe freely.  I was also given special soap to use the night before, and the day of the procedure for germ protection.  They noted that the hospital "will remove the hair from the surgical location".  Uhh...no, that ain't happening!  I'll do that a couple days before to make sure any cuts are healed.  They can manke it spic and span if they have to.  Meanwhile, I've been experiencing some extra PVC's since dialing back on the Metoprolol, but nothing that can't be tolerated. Half the normal dosage today and tomorrow, then I'll drop back further.
