So I booked a appt at my GP surgery for tomorrow!! I'm soooo fed up of feeling nauseous! I'm also going to Spk to them about TTC!! :) I'm sooo nervous! What should I expect?! ....?!
Woohoo Louise!! I would definitely be having that nausea checked out as well! AND so happy you're going to be asking about TTC!! My first visit I was SO overwhelmed leaving that office I felt like crying!! I felt like I couldn't remember half of what they said much less understand it. We were there a total of about 2 hrs. They first did an ultrasound, pelvic exam to make sure everything " appeared" ok. BUT I told them about my pain and stuff so they started talking surgery. As far you, they're probably going to be asking ALOT of questions. Very personal ones of course. :)
I would definitely recommend bringing another ear and definitely a piece of paper and pen. lol. I wished I had! It'll take awhile for all their info to sink in and start making sense. It did for me. Just hang in there, I'm sooo happy for you!!
Oh and they're probably going to want him to give them their OWN sample. And as far as you, let them know you've been charting already!! If you can it might be a good idea to print it out if you can and take it with you. Let them know you know and have been doing all of that already! It'll help with the whole trying to figure out what's wrong thing. Like with myself if it wasn't for my age they would've had me doing it for a full yr. Just say "Look, I've been doing that already, here it is!! Now what's our NEXT step! " ;).
Pleasseee let us know how it goes! Wishing you the best woman!!!! :D
Im sure we wont have 2 hours lol. It may only be a quick visit to discuss about TTC then make another appt to discuss furtehr inc tests etc. Lee is coming with me, but its 3:50, so Steven will b with us too. But, Lee will have to stay outside with steven!! So, it will just be me, also im only seeing the nurse practitioner, so it may just be a quick appt. I cant imagine they will do a ultrasound there, i think that will be further down the road. But im completely unaware of how it will go.
I know they will want to get Lee to do his own sample for them, but he lives about an hour away, and he's GP is in the area he lives, so he wont be able to see mine. And anyhow, im asking them about me??!! Not Lee... i will make that clear im there for me, and me only!! I will tell them about charting, OPK's etc. Thanks Des!! xD xxx
Yes, be straight forward! I think that was our problem. I was there for any answers to everything that was going wrong and I tell you what, it was definitely a head spin!! I was honestly shaking when I came out. They took us both back to talk to the RE, we were then seperated and I was off for an ultrasound and pap smear, hubby was put in his own room and some lady was talking to him about sperm sample and how much this visit was going to cost us. Then it was back out and together with another lady talking to us about our next step, what tests we'd have, when we'd have them and how to start charting things. Mind you I was sent there so that dr. could do my surgery! They were not even on the same page!!!!! I was so angry, upset ugh so many emotions.
My gyno up here figured I had endo and didn't want to do my surgery just in case she caused more scar tissue than the one in B'ham. He is a fertility specialists and would be more "precise" and preserve my fertility since I was also trying to get pregnant. We got there and that's all what happened. The dr. knew he was doing my surgery but it was like him and his nurses wasn't on the same page at all!! Hubby almost got us kicked out. It was awful!
I'm reallyy not trying to worry you lol. Just saying speak your mind and definitely be straight forward!! :D I wished I had done that!
I say i will, but im such a pushover. Im not hugely worried tbh, were both pretty young, healthy so i personally just think we've been unlucky so far. Its just a case of IF there is something wrong, then we need to know about it so it can be put right!! Its nothing too serious for me, just yet! We'll see what tomorrow brings! x
I think soon as you mention ttc and all the nausea, they will prob suggest a blood test, just to see if infact you are pregnant.. then take it from there. good luck hun, hope all goes well for you.x.
