Financial help for Type 1 Diabetics

My son was diagnosed almost a year ago and he just turned 12. My husband and I own our business and do not have health insurance. The supplies and doctor visits really add up. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but we have really struggled financially this past year. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get some assistance? We do not qualify for the CHIP program....
