I was 13 wks pregnant and was as big as a full term pregnancy. I could not eat, sleep or move. I finally found a doctor that would help me. They found a mass on my left side I had to have surgery the very next day. Thats when all of the news came I had ovarian cancer and I had 6months to live. I needed to make a choice ...Does my husband raise 2 kids by himself or just the one we already had? He said we do nothing because I was not going anywhere so we continued with the pregnancy! After having a 7in round tumor (as big as a volleyball) removed and  6 liters of fluid I was felling pretty good. After a few weeks I found out I had Boarderline ovarian cancer (This was good news) but it was labeled as stage 3c so we still had to worry.  Tyler was to be born at 35wks so the cancer could taken care of but he was a little slow at getting his lungs ready so to be safe for him we waited till he was 37 wks. he came out a very happy heathly wonderful bundle of joy. Then about six weeks after that I had to have a complete hysterectomy and a bunch of other stuff removed(so he is my last baby) but I am cancer free and my boys still have their mommy. I am now 2 years cancer free as of august 17th 2008. Dec 31 2008 will be 3 years since the cancer was found. I am very healthy at this point just worry about it coming back.

What a brave woman you are and CONGRATULATIONS on nearing 3 years.  I don't think any of us .. .those with stable disease (like me) or those with no evidence of disease EVER relax.  Feeling anxious is so normal and healthy actually.  The anxiety keeps you alert to your body and current with your tests, etc.  Glad you jumped on board.  Many wonderful women here .. all ages.  Judy
