I am renting one for $45.00 a month. I am renting from babybeat.com & it has digital display.  I wanted the display so I can tell when I have babies heart beat verses my own.  If I didn't have the display to tell me the reading, there would be many days I would b e just hearing my own.
As you know I am also pregnant with twins & some days it's very hard to get both.  Good Luck to you.

PS- I did buy one from ebay also which was crap & I returned it.  The ebay seller gave me full refund including shipping if I promised not to leave bad feedback.  That should tell you something.........  Be careful which one you get.

agghhhh!!!!  Kricket, I got one from ebay...have to go look at it to tell you the name.  It has digital display.  I think I paid 100 for it, but it's mine now.  $45 a month is a lot, girl!!!!!  I should go look real quick and tell you the name.  Just looked.  It's BABYONE Ultrasound Probe.  2.8 MHZ

To haz - if you are a constant worrywart (like me), they are definitely good to have.  Anytime you are making yourself crazy with worry, just pull out the doppler and find your lil baby's HB.  Good reassurance.  I don't think you need to have some over the top expensive one either.  Just need one that will let you hear your baby's HB.  And the digital display does help too, although I don't know how accurate it really is.  Once you get used to hearing baby's HB, you will quickly know the difference between your HB and your baby's.  And you can just listen to it for 10 seconds and then multiply by 6 (which is what the midwives do where I go...they don't rely on the digital display).

I never used a baby doppler when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was thinking about getting something similiar so my daughter could hear the baby when Mr. Stork visits us.

hey there,
I have the sonoline B model also got it for £20 from ebay, it is fabulous it CAN pick up baby from 9 weeks but they suggest waiting till 11 or 12, I got mine faintly at about 10 weeks when i learned how to use the thing. It shows up the heartbeat on the display but onlly a bit later when babys heartbeat is actually registering on the thing cos to begin with it isn't loud enough lol. If you get a doppler for early on i suggest reaqding up on how to find the heartbeat cos i had myself in an awful panic, turns out, babies that early hide right down inside where your pubic bone is :) good luck and all the best :) xx

P.s  make sure to get it with the 3Mhz probe, otherwise its longer before you can hear :)
