newly diagnosed

After confusing mammogram reports from our small town local hospital, we chose to drive 100 miles to a undiagnosed breast center-MD Anderson, Houston.  Yesterday, I had a breast MRI and was called at home 5 hours later with a diagnosis.  I need to return for an ultrasound biopsy and discussion of treatment.  The "wondering" stage is finally over and we're ready for the treatment stage.

I plan to have a bilateral mastectomy 11/3.  There was no options open for the left breast; and because I have scattered cancer cells in the right, I decided to have the bilateral.  I may have to have radiation afterwards.  I am very satisfied with my decision and feel very optimistic about my cancer.  I now am looking into prothesis.  Does anyone have any info on this subject?
