pregnancy drug use

there have been numerous questions regarding the use of narcotics in pregnancy. enclosed is a link discussing this topic. it is written for professionals but it is easy to understand and is quite informative. if you find yourself here and have questions after researching this please feel free to ask. if i do not know the answer i will find it for you. there are also links within this link to resources for treatment plans. i feel this is very important as once you are clean from your addiction in pregnancy, your followup is paramount. i know you want to be the best mother you can be for the rest of your life. i know it can be done. i will be happy to help you in any way that i can. take care of yourself and the rest will follow through!

This is ScaredMotherOf2- Thank you very much in your interest in my problem.  The thing with tapering is I have nothing to taper off from. I do have about 50 Darvocet which a friend of mine who had a major pill problem found out she was pregnant used Darvocet to detox her way through the pregnancy. About three years ago I was diagnosed with Autonomic Nervous System Failure.  It's a hard disorder to explain the easiest way I can tell you to find out about it is to do some research.  The disorder caused me to have muscle and nerve pain in my back and legs which is why the nuerologist originally put me on narcotics.  It started innocently enough but before I knew it I was doctor shopping.  So that is why I detoxed in the first place, granted it only lasted three months but I did it once I can do it again.  Before I found out I was pregnant I was on the antidepressant Lexapro 20mg, Lyrica, Valium, and Soma that I can remember.  I still take the soma occasionally.  Starting tomorrow I will be in withdrawal and I'm scared as hell.  Like I said I have about 50 Darvocet to help ease the withdrawal I just need some advice on how to do this.  Please help me.

Change your lifestyle and take it one day at a time. Listen to the good voice in your head that encourages your detox and never give in to the bad one!!
