Last Saturday (8/20/11), I woke up early to spend the day with my family and felt better than usual--still had severe morning stiffness and pain 2/10 overall. Around 8 a.m., I started feeling a sharp, severe 8-10/10 pain in my upper right thigh/lower groin, where they connect. I had this pain off-and-on, varying from every 15 minutes to every 2 minutes, all day until taking my "heavy" pain meds (two hydrocodone--one and then another an hour later--and a muscle relaxer) around 10 p.m. Pain still continued and woke me up from sleep multiple times for over an hour. It felt like either a pinched nerve or I was scared it could be a blood clot or a problem with a vein. I even considered going to the ER. Meds finally kicked in, though, and I was able to sleep. Woke up Sunday morning and no pain.
I didn't have this pain again all week, until last night (Friday, 8/26/11), and it started around 8 p.m. I immediately took my "heavy" pain meds (one hydrocodone) and fell asleep immediately (I was also EXTREMELY fatigued), but the pain woke me up several times over the next hour or so. I woke up this morning early (around 5 a.m.) and had only my "normal" morning pain--stiffness and pain 2/10.
I don't know what this is, but I am trying to better document what is going on with me in hopes that I will finally get a diagnosis. Before I fell asleep, DH was looking up Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (which we believe I have) with neurological symptoms (which we know I have).
