A couple weeks ago I went to the doctors to get a wart on my hand I had checked out. I also believed I had a UTI because it hurt when i peed and I was having some lower back pain. I have had one before and it felt the same. Anyway me and my mother are in the room and my doctor walks in, I tell her I think I have a UTI and she starts asking me all these very personal questions with my mom right beside me. She is asking about symptoms of my UTI and such and I answer everything truthfully. So she decides to say, "I don't think you have a urinary track infection, but since your sexually active there are a number of things it could be..." ect. She starts going on and on about it with my mom in the room. I look at her and I'm just like I know what I have, I've had it before, I don't have a STD I'm not out slutting around and my sexual partner has been tested before. She decides to let me pee in a cup just in case. Turns out, what do you know, I have a UTI, just like I said. The other day I go back to my doctor because I thought I had strep, or a cold, something like that. I had the chills the night before I was runnning a fever, and my lymph nodes on my throat were swollen. She swabs me and I test negative for strep. Once again, my mother is in the room with me, my doctor looks at my MOTHER and says, "Well she doesn't have strep, and I don't know how she is with oral if she uses protection while doing that or what but a possibilty could be Ghonerrhea of the throat." I'm sitting there stunned thinking really lady, again, I don't have a STD I am sick. She wouldn't prescribe me any medicine so I went home and took some of my old strep medicine, what do you know my throats all cleared up now and I feel perfectly fine.
