Problems with Pregnancy....Anyone out there that can help???

We have been trying to get pregnant for 3 1/2 yrs and finally I'm pregnant. My LMP was 12-11-08. So that makes me 6 1/2 weeks along. At about 4 1/2 weeks I spotted a scant amount for 1 1/2 days w/some very mild cramping. Went to dr on 1-17-08 and Progesterone was 4.4 and Hcg was 91. Then on 1-21-08 Progesterone was 8.3 and hcg was 128. (After progesterone meds) Dr isnt sure what is going on!! She was sure I had miscarried on the first test, but I talked her into the 2nd one!!! I'll go this monday for a third set of tests!! I havent spotted or cramped since 4 1/2 weeks. Anyone ever done this or know whats going on with me?? I am so worried because I really want my baby to be okay. We have tried so long. Thanks, Trina
Hi Trina, spotting and cramping are not good signs, especially this early in pregnancy. But, I suggest you hang in there and see what happens, as I'm sure you're doing. Has your dr. told you to stay on bed rest? Do not go have a D & C even if they try to talk you into it. Some women do bleed throughout their pregnancies. I have a history of miscarriages, and I just lost my son at 23.5 weeks. We thought for sure he was going to make it, I always miscarried before 12 weeks, so for him to make it that long was a miracle. If I were you, I'd call your dr. and have them schedule an ultrasound. The sooner you know if the baby is alive or not, the better.
