I now on medication since yesterday for chlamydia. I am having my boyfriend get treated too in case he may be a carrier. He said his tests came back negative for all std diseases. I have been with him since August 19th and started having symptoms a few weeks ago, starting with a cyst. The cyst is going away.
I did have multiple partners in the last year and am wondering if I caught it from my current boyfriend or another one. I have been reading up on it today and it says that I could have contacted it up to several months ago. So, from that and the time i have met my boyfriend, I am thinking I have probably contacted it from him. Yet, he claims that his chlamydia test came back negative. Wondering if it is possible to get it from one of the others.
And most likely you can't have it for years on end. Two years ago, I was married with one partner for 16 years with four kids from him.
I'm also starting peri menopause. For the last two and a half years, it has been happening. For the first seven to eight months since my separation, i was with nobody. Then in Nov. of that year, I met somone and had sex with him two times. Then we decided to end it. In December, I waited for my period to come and forty days later, and no period. I honestly thought I was pregnant. I took a test and it said I wasn't. Then finally I had my period, but it was very light and only lasted two or three days at the most. I was always like clockwork, every 28 days. Since that, I started having longer times in between my periods. usually no later than forty days in between. I'm on Seroquel for anxiety and helps me sleep at night. I've heard that that can possibly contribute to it.
Then this last year, I'm 43. I started dating several people. I probably had sex with six or seven guys before my current boyfriend. The boyfriend, I had before my current one lasted for several months.
And my first signs of longer periods between periods didn't start until about April or May. Around April or May I dated a guy for two to three weeks. Ended it and then met up with a new boyfriend. Suddenly, I found myself waiting nine weeks in between a period. I have been thinking this is really long. I really started thinking I was pregnant. Finally, on a trip to Los Angeles in July 22d to pitch my book to movie producers, I had my period. It lasted for two or three days and was heavy. Then in August 19th, I met up with my new boyfriend. Around the week before the new boyfriend, I had another period that lasted two or three days. Then suddenly I didn't have another period for nine weeks or possibly more. I was kind of seeing a very slight pink tinge when I wiped in the bathroom and that was it. It wasn't enough to say I was having a good period. Around that time, I also went to my psychiatrist who prescribes my medicine. She had me have some testing done. I got tested for HIV, HCG, just in case I was pregnant or having a cyst or tumor, thyroid, B-12, and iron and of course cholesterol. The HIV came back negative and so did the HCG. B-12 was really low, and cholesterol was slightly elivated. That part might have been elevated as I had taken a few sips of soda and then realized I was supposed to fast, so that probably tweeked it.
Then, a few weeks ago, I started to have a cyst and before that, I felt myself going to the bathroom more. Didn't really burn too much, but maybe a tiny bit. I went into the emergency and they said it was bartholin's cyst. I followed up with my regular doctor and she said it wasn't bartholins but it was a cyst. She had me tested for chlaymida and gonneria. This week i have tested positive for chlamidia and am trying to decide how long it has been. And also since three days ago, let's say November 8th. I have finally started my first real period since before August 19th. and it's lasting about three days so far. It's a little heavier than before. I kind of don't think those really light tinges really count. It was hardly anything. So that would be quite a few months before a good period.
I've been told that I could still get pregnant for eight years. So now, I am on birth control pills. I've been on them for a little over three weeks.
So now, I am on antibiotics for the chlamydia and my boyfriend is going to get himself tested and treated. He has decided that he's going to get retested for the std stuff. He wants to see my letter on the positive results for chlamydia and he wants to see my results of the test that my psychiatrist ordered which will have the negative results for HIV. But right now, I am wondering if he could be a carrier for chlamydia even though he tested negative for it. And I don't care if he has copies of my stuff as I came back negative for everything else. And I gave blood in September and they have said they would have called me if anything bad came up in my blood. The only thing I did find out was that they don't test the blood for chlamydia.
But I have been with him since August 19th, so the timing and the descriptions of the disease is making me think that it has to be him. I'm wondering if I could have had it longer than a few months.
