Had my first neurologist appointment today. Good news: Its not a tumor. However, it is a build-up WITHIN my spinal cord, of the blood vein that takes out the waste. Normally it is so small it doesn't show up on an MRI, however, mine is so large they thought it was a tumor--about 0.5" thick. Totally Abnormal. It could be caused by an infection of some sort or a blockage caused by scar tissue further down. (?) They took blood tests to look for infection. Otherwise, I have to wait until baby's born to get a MRI with contrast done. As long as it doesn't double in size by May I will be fine and there is no risk of paralysis. I've had this pain for 2 years so its had plenty of time and is only this big so I think I'll be fine until then. Overall, we are a step closer to explaining my pain!! And no tumor so no cancer and no paralysis!!
