Vampires

Some more things:

The vampire effect!

I go to the lab once a week for CBCs. I have a lot of problems with RBC and WBCs.
Platelets all the usual Txing problems!
But I have a friend, the lab tech, she is very kind, BUT….
The tools of her trade are torturous!
She uses needles, vials and tubes.
Pieces of plastic that tie your arm, to make the blood more accessible, to the surface.
Her needle of choice for me is called a butterfly, does that not sound sweet?
But let me tell you, it stings like a bee!
The tubes she delivers my precious life force into, all have lovely little tops all different colors, like flowers for the butterfly to sweeten.
Sweeten she does, all her little flower tubes.
The whole time she does chats to me, I look away, and you would think I would be used to it by now, but it still makes me feel woozy!
I also know this for sure, the smell of alcohol does not paralyze me senseless, one day I will turn my head and look at my vampire, and she will be licking her fingers!
Smiling with ghoulish delight!
Think I will start carrying garlic in my purse!

As per your e-mail to me yesterday, boy can I relate. I also am the butterfly girl!  Only one tiny vein in my hand and nothing else for my lab friend to choose from anymore!

Isnt it fun when she inserts the butterfly and the blood stops flowing.
Im on my way to the vampire now.

Have a good day.

Oh you are so right! The strangest feeling.

I don't have a lot viens either, in 2005 I had a head on collision. I was in Germany and woke up 6 weeks later from a coma in Washington DC.

My left arm had every bone broken, so I have an arm full of metal, and it was cast for all that time. There were also a lot of problems, but long story short was right arm was totally over used for blood withdrawls.

Good Luck with the vampire!  Hope all is well!

Hugs and you have a good one also!
