Twisted Aorta

My husband was just diagnosed with a twisted aorta. He is 32, w/ great blood pressure, and perfect cholesterol. But he has had worsening shortness of breath, back pain, chest pain, and pain/heaviness in his legs. He also is always tired and has a lot of headaches.
I am wondering if these symptoms could be the cause of the contorted aorta. If so, is there anyone on here who has this problem corrected and did it improve your quality of life?
