Clare, so James was happy at this scan then?  This was only a few days ago?  How come he's now so uncertain about it all?  I'm still shocked by what's happened as all had seemed to be going so well for you both & he seemed so OK with it.  Has he always felt unsure but just kept it to himself, or is it just nerves because the time is getting closer?  Whatever it is, it doesn't excuse what he did, but I'm just trying to understand how things could have seemingly changed so quickly?  I'm guessing he kept his fears to himself.  Counselling could surely help.

Well, the important thing now is to try not to stress over the marriage.  I know that's easier said than done, but for now, your pregnancy is the most important thing.  And, once you're a mother, you'll realise there is NO ONE in this life more important than your child, and NO ONE you love more in this life than your child.  Men may come and go, but your children will always have your unconditional love.  James needs to really step up now.  If he truly loves you he will.  If he loves you but is finding this tough, then he needs to get professional help.  But if he's just being an idiot or is getting scared of responsibility (as some men do), then he needs to do a lot of soul searching.  I hope he realises what he's doing and comes back and is a husband to you.  But no more crap!  Bringing up a child is a long journey.  I hope this all ends happily for you all!  I just never saw this coming.  Hiccups happen in marriages of course, & I'm still praying things come right for you all.  XOXOXO
