Yesterday I had my MRI done, finally. They did both with and without IV contrast and made me a copy on CD so that I have the images. I can definantly see where the new and old compression fractures are, though I am far from an expert. I could also see that in several images my spinal cord is flattened instead of nice and round, so I'm guessing that has something to do with the leg symptoms and the increased pain in my back.
My Mom took me to get the test done, and we of course went shopping afterwards. I never really get to do stuff like that, and I had a great time and picked up some curtains for my living room and bedroom. Of course, I was dead by the time I got home, and my Mom even stayed and straightened up my house for me. I LOVE my Mommy!! Today, I was extremely sore and had a horrible headache, but after 90 mg of Morphine and Excedrin Migraine, in addition to some Neurontin and Cymbalta I feel much better and able to move around. My husband will be leaving tonight to care for his Mom, who had to be admitted to ICU last night with breathing problems. I love my hubby, and I hate that he has to go alone, but there is no way I can make the three hour drive up there and stay at a hospital all night. But, if I can be strong for anyone it's him, and I'll stay with our son at home and support him while he's gone as much as I can.
I'm waiting for my Dr. to call with my test results and I am on pins and needles waiting. I will wait until tomorrow to call, though, because I know that she is busy. I'm just eager to know if they can figure out why I have a new spinal fracture, and, more importantly, if they can fix it!
