I still feel sick...but I wanted to make sure I continue to update my list of symptoms, as any additional symptoms could help pinpoint what it is I have.
As of late, I've been noticing bloody mucus in my urine, as well as when I blow my nose or cough--though with the latter two, the mucus is more "streaked" with blood than anything. I don't know what this means, and I'm pretty thankful I'm seeing my neurologist this week, as well as my GP, even if I'm just visiting the GP to get a tetanus shot. This bloody mucus started about a week or two ago, shows up fairly often (but not anytime I have mucus in my nose or mouth), and isn't linked to drinking alcohol. I did have one beer yesterday (12oz), about 12 hours after taking my medication:
75mg Arthrotec (I *think* I took this...I might not have because I was anticipating drinking, given it was Halloween)
32mcg Rhinocort Aqua
I didn't take any medication after the one beer until today, around 2pm. I don't know that this is due to medication or medication+alcohol, since this has happened to me whether or not I've had a drink. Some of my mucus has been opaque and greenish-yellow in color as of late, so I'm wondering if I have a bacterial infection? Any way I look at it, this isn't good. I don't think I'll drink any alcohol anymore. Not that I was a huge drinker to begin with...it's just a part of my life as a college/graduate student. I enjoy going to bars and having a drink or two with friends. Now, I guess I can't do that anymore and it's rather depressing.
I did have a tuberculosis test done (PPD) this past Monday, but it was negative. I'm pointing this out to note to myself when I had it done, and also, in case it had anything to do with this (though the blood-tinged sputum was around before this shot...so...it likely didn't have anything to do with it).
I've also been sleeping a lot more, as of late. I've always been tired, but I've never really had to "give in" to this tired feeling. Now, if I'm tired...I go to sleep...or I "pass out" without even realizing it. I have actually fallen asleep three times this past week with my clothes on and my contacts in. One of those times, I was drinking heavily--but I wasn't drunk at all and I didn't even feel tipsy, oddly enough--and another of those times was last night (granted, I hadn't slept in 36 hours at that point, though). In fact, last night, not only did I fall asleep with my clothes on and contacts in...I woke up and discovered I still had GUM in my mouth hahaha...but according to two of my friends, I'm really hard to wake up. They poked me, shoved me, shook me...and I didn't wake up. I talked a little one time, but I don't remember this at all. It's just weird to go from sleeping fairly lightly (because I have sleep apnea and my brain is always awake whether or not it wants to be) to sleeping like a rock. I'm concerned about this.....
Ugh...when will all of this end???
