Light at the end of the tunnel

Feb 07, 2008 04:50AM - 2 comments

I am trying to stay positive about how I feel day to day.  I have never experienced anything as difficult as this thyroid issue that I am having.  I am having lots of abdominal pains and chest pains and sometimes wonder if I will ever see a tomorrow.  I know there are others that are worse off than me and I pray for them every night.
So many days of my life were spent taking things for granted.  Simple things like the sunrise, smell of flowers in the spring and just having the company of my family and friends.  Having this has really opened my eyes to what is truly important in life.  It's not money or worldly posessions.  Its about the relationships you have with people and trying to be a positive force in someone else's life.
