wheelchair foundation but read the story

DEBI FOX HAS HEROES

Hi All, Most of you know me because you are either family, friends or my co-volunteers at the Crystal Cathedral. If you are with the Cathedral, you already know about the Wheelchair Foundation because of Dr. Schuller’s support for this charity.

There is a back-story about this.  Most of you know that I am undergoing a yearlong regimen of chemotherapy, as a result of surgery last November. Prior to this, I trained with the Las Vegas Running Team Marathon Running Division and ran a half marathon in Feb. 06. This team, with Dr. Bob Thompson leading the drive raised money for the Wheelchair Foundation last year and is attempting to do the same this year.

Because of the chemo, I can’t run the half this year, so I can’t ask you to support my efforts. But Dr. Bob, and hopefully other members of my team are attempting to double the amount of pledges for wheelchairs to 50 this year (they did a marvelous job and bought 25 of them in ’07).

I am appealing to my family, friends and coworkers to support these folks. If I could run this year, I would definitely be running for the Wheelchair Foundation with my team. A chair costs about $50. You have all been heroes to me with your support already—could I ask you to support my team and be a hero to 50 more?

Their run is February 3, 2008 at the Surf City Half Marathon, Huntington Beach, CA– If you can join us there let me know!

The stories will amaze you…

Please…  let’s lift 50 people off the ground! We can do it!

What a wonderful use of the journal to support such a good cause.
We're happy to add our support.
