What do you post on a medical help website about yourself? LOL
My Thy...
[More]roid is now showing overactive instead of underactive, going to see the endocronolgyst (sp) on the 25th of February.
I have gained 40 lbs in the last 2 years due to being on Lexapro, not only did I slowly gain the weight without realizing it but I also had NO feelings whatsoever! I am getting off of the medication and enjoying my first grandchild! maybe I will meet other people on here that have the same issues and we can talk about it, we will see.

I TOO STOPPED TAKING LEXAPRO AND HAD THE SAME ISSUES. I WANTED TO START TAKING IT AGAIN JUST SO I FELT BETTER.
BUT I DRANK LOTS OF WATER AND STARTED TAKING GOOD VITAMNS AND B-12 DOTS.
I FEEL GREAT NOW! NOT TO MENTION THE LARGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT I GAINED WHILE TAKING LEXAPRO. THAT IS NOW MELTING OFF.
Did you taper your medication slowly? Very important, as I didn't taper slowly enough and it has caused major problems.
I just found out that you should taper by 5% each week! I didn't and have been having tingling, anxiety, agitation, etc.
Since you JUST stopped, you can re-start at the last dosage and taper much more slowly to prevent withdrawal issues.
I couldn't do that as I didn't know what was wrong with me until I had been off meds. TWO WEEKS, then it didn't make sense to recontinue and taper more gradually. Good luck! Try Omega 3 and alot of B vitamins to help.
