Sorry to hear you're getting some tough news.  I sure hope your appointment with the hep doc is a positive and helpful visit.  My husband's stats are similar to yours:  his most recent liver pathology also showed Stage 4, Grade 2, and he, too, is still successfully sucking air :).  He just started treatment Nov 7th, so being cirrhotic in and of itself does not exclude you from treatment -- it just really requires lots of determination on your part, medical 'clearance', and very careful management and surveillance.  Neither patient nor doctor can afford to be feint of heart when treating progressing cirrhosis.

I hope you're already doing the no alcohol, low-salt, low-fat diet.  Best wishes, keep us posted, and don't hesitate to holler if you need help... this forum's a great place.
