Can't wait to see a picture of your new kitty! She sounds great! Don't expect to get a lot of sleep with a kitten, though! I can guarantee she will be pouncing on your feet all night, lol. Enjoy her! Give her a hug from me!

Congratulations and good luck with your new kitten...

She sounds just like mine....We had a very hard time coming up with a name for her.....we had several trial names and finally have just settled on calling her Bad Baby Cat, OR Baby Cat, depending obviously.  Active, would be an understatement to describe her.  She keeps me "busy" for SURE!  As bad as she can be, she is also a sweetie and makes me feel better, even with some of the worst pain, when I hold her or play with her.  

We look forward to seeing her one of these days, lol

Yeah!! Congrats on your new baby! I remember bringing our tortie (dilute) home and just being so in love with her. Now two years later she is still the ruler of the house. Every house is more of a home with a kitty in it. Have fun!

Hi everyone and thank you for all the congratulations.  I promised my hubby I would not send out birth announcem,ents.  She has made up with our doggy, found my junk room, jumps on back of couch already, and is scared to death of herself in the mirror.  I doubt I will get much sleep.  If she doesn't keep me awake wanting to play I will stay awake making sure she is doing ok.  Thanks again, will try to get some pictures asap.  Thanks again and will keep everyone posted on the trauma of a new baby.

Dudette the fear of the mirror will pass, the amout of things she can climb will grow, and your nighttime awake hours will be many, lol.....I'm starting to see an emotional change in BBC now, so if I didn't have insomnia (or vampiric sleep cycles) I MIGHT actually be able to sleep now that she's learning to chill at night...or gets placed in time out so I can catch some z's (the bathroom). It's a ride, but it's rewarding as he!!.

I love kitties! I have two older cats, a bully boy and a sweet girl. I'd love to get a little one, but everyone in the house...including both cats and husband would revolt!

Here is an update.  First of all a little history on me.  When on tx and even now I have had alot of depression.  Lack of enthusiam.  I never realized how bad things had gotten untill I started to get dressed this morning and my hubby asked,  "do you have an appt or going somewhere?"  He had gotten so used to me laying around in my pjs etc that he just assummed I was going somewhere.  So..having a new kitten is already showing the benefits.  She was so energetic last night running everywhere we settled on "speedy" for her named.  Later I actually thought of Lightening but hubby didn't like it so speeddy it is.  Yes, she slept with us.  Laying between us initially then on my chest.  I s;ept very little so tonight will be better. This morning she found me in the bathtub.  Almost fell in.  She played with bubbles and let me pet her with my wet hand.  Want to get her used to it so bathing won't be a problem.Tried to jump on kitchen counter.  Will stop that immediately.  Will pick up a scratching post asap.  Has to be a small one.  She watches TV.  Sits on my lap when I am on the computer.  Sleeps either on back of couch or on couch right next to me.  I think she already knows I am her master.  I do feel like a mommy watching her, making sure she doesnt get lost ect.  Again thanks for all the positive comments.  Got a couple of cute pictures but now need to learn how to post them.  I am so computer illiterate.

Welll.  were to begin.  Do not know if I announced I changed her name to squeaker.  She does not meow she just squeaks.  Wished I had waited longer to name her.  Her color is changing and her tail is so long.  I would have named her mouse.  But not fair to confuse her.  She is the most loving, active cat I have had.  She runs thru the house never touching the floor.  So it seems.  She does sleep with us, but pray  don't move my feet.  She become active attacking my feet if I move.  She loves sitting on the edge of the tub watching me.  I expect her to fall in but hasn't.  She lets me pet her with wet hands so she likes the water.  She jumped in the toilet tis morning only to get dried off and she jumps in her water dish getting her front feet wet.  Her free physical went well.  Have to take her back for her booster shots in about 3 weeks.  She loves when I have my end table turned on she lays on the very edge of the couch arm and soaks up the heat from the lamp.  She watches tv from the other couch it is tofar for her to jump on the TV.  I am sure she will if she could.  Have to get busy and clean house.  Hope every one is well and not over doing it isince the official Christmas season has arrived.
